My Infatuation.....

I want to speak about Suvendu. Yes, I know that you all know who he is...you all can guess rightly that he is my school days heart throb. But it took me long to get over my inhibitions to tell the story of my infatuation. Now I want to share it with the whole world...if any of you know him, must forgive me for falling for him. For he was special,   So special in not so  special ways. He was earthy and swarthy. A ninth class student with a big-time attitude!!! And I was a girl of class 8, with two tight plaits and a jassi type chasma!(they use to call me Uloo chasmaloo), it  sounds like a perfect bollywood drama I know. But till the time I met him, I hardly had any idea of feeling like a heroin. On the contrary, I did not like being sent there... I use to rant over multiple drawbacks of the school at every single chance! I hated my parents’ idea to relocate me. Being a loner, it was hard for me to like such changes. I absolutely disliked everything in there, the teachers, the school canteen, not so friendly face in my class calling me with different names everyday.…and…and. and….and...The list was actually non ending. But the worst of it was the rain in my new campus. Everything was looking shabby and gray to my chasma worn eyes. The puddles of murky water, the dampen card board boxes near the washroom, the stubborn getting patina on the unused stair case…uggh!!! I use to hate everything coming to my sight. Being a sinus patient, head ache was adding to the bonus... So I was almost always in a carping mood, getting more and more depressed and desperate. The creepy feeling of isolation was often causing me cry silently, and my hate list was growing never ending with each single day. There he came into my life… Or the hero made his debuts. Without making a fuss I should narrate the great meet. He walked into my life straight through the lonesome corridor of school. Smiling and wiping those gelid drops off his hair line. .. They were looking like tiny crystals on his long eye lids. Something stirred up in side me.  Something, which I had never experienced before... he walked past me, smiling  with mirth. Playing with his basketball. in few moments I was standing there lingering in my reverie…. (There was suppose to be a romantic song), anyways dunno for how long I was there, but when I got back from the dream land, things were no more the same... The slate colored sky was shinning with sunshine… the puddles were turned to liquid mirrors. The school lawn was much greener in few minutes (the hideous white ant patches had vanished from my eye sight!!!). A smile escaped my lip. My days had begun of a heroin. The Heart beats were singing an unknown tune. They call it Love… I was in love…my cheeks use to blush when suvendu was seen anywhere. I was a silent admirer. Never ever I had a word with him. (He could possibly never have thought of a girl at least 10 kilos over weight and a big chasma as a fan) But never mind, I loved my new campus (now everyone knows the reason). A glimpse of suvendu was good enough to keep me charged. But the time is always on his heels, so the Months passed by…so did the years. I was far away form being acquainted with him. (I kept the distance safe, due to my guilty mind). Eventually He left the school.   I lost him to my busy schedules. Board exams to be precise, u all know how scary they are!!!  Now a days, though he does not come to my mind often, but when the rain comes…..when the sky cries her heart out….and the sun is seen no where …I reach  for a coffee to see him  walking from the corridors of the  past…. gliding in the caffeine  vapor, Smiling with his bright eyes as always.

P.S. it is not a story; but one of those sensitive chapters of my life. He unknowingly taught me the importance to love someone... I often visit his profile in Orkut, but never scrap him. Thanks to him, I love rain…..
